Celebrity Dreams
I am fortunate to come from a family who has dreams involving celebrities. They are hilarious!(with the exception of my one about Jonah Hill, that was just disturbing and wrong) My latest was a Justin Beiber dream! I was in middle school and the Beib came to stay with me and my family and I was so excited to tell my friends, to my chagrin, when I got on the bus and told them none of them beliebed me! Also, the seats on the bus that we sat on were arranged in a circle so we could discuss our teenbeat magazines. Anyway, my hater friends were proved wrong when my brother brought Beiber on the bus, and it was like the rapture! we all cried and hugged, then I woke up. I found that one entertaining, but there are better ones. Once, my sister, Andrea dreamed she was jumping over chairs in an auditorium to beat up Snoop Dogg. She was victorious, too. Big surprise, Snoop probably doesn't have the greatest lung capacity. My favorite is probably my Mom's. She was shopping with Tom Cruise and they left the store and he gave her a ride on his motorcycle. She asked him something, and he got offended and kicked her off. I'm pretty sure she found him and beat him up too. There are meanings hidden in our dreams, and I think the ones in these are simple. Celebrities deserve to get beat up. I bet if I had stayed asleep I could have opened up a can on Beiber. That would have been a very emotionally satisfying dream.

My Random and Deeply Thought Out Insights on Children's Shows.
I have reached a point in my life where I watch a lot of kids shows. These shows are not particularly entertaining for me, so how do I entertain myself? By analyzing them, like normal people, right?
What kind of sick, twisted little freak is Sid from Toy Story? I really think he shows signs of a sociopath. After the toys came alive and scared him he probably had to go through lots of therapy, which I don't think is a bad thing, I'm hoping he grew up to be functional, and not a serial killer or weird fetishist or something. Why was he such a little psycho?? My theories are twofold, 1 his parents suck, and 2. he was forced to live in such a butt ugly house. Have you ever looked at how ugly that house was? Who was their interior decorator? Shrek?
Next, on Handy Manny, you just KNOW that Manny and Kelly from the hardware store are hooking up! Question is, why can't they go public?
You know how on cars, sometimes, it shows cars with their little kid cars? How did they get those kids? How do cars reproduce????
Don't even get me started on Special Agent Oso. The kids on that show are too stupid to function. "Help me, Oso, I don't know how to pet a dog!" "Help me, Oso, I don't know how to kick a soccer ball into a wide net from a short distance!" Listen, kids, you got much bigger problems than soccer or dogs.
Once Mickey Mouse was in a big pickle because his "handy helpers" broke, and he had to answer his OWN door!! The gang was on the brink of missing dinner, because no one was there to make it for them!! Lazy animated jerks! But I would live in the clubhouse, that place is freakin sweet. It should be on Cribs. it appears by magic, has hands that do everything for you, has a slide coming out of it, has all sorts of entertainment nearby, and access to all sorts of awesome vehicles (ie a train, hot air balloon, etc) Also, I feel like an injustice is being done to the ducks, they don't get pants or skirts. I know they lack external genetalia, but they might get cold. As you have guessed, that's the one we watch most.
And as you have probably also guessed, I'm blogging tired. That may be the same thing as blogging drunk. I better log off and think of Nickelodeon shows to trash, since I only focused on Disney tonight. That is all. Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Facebook Morons
Can I just say I hate the over achieving morons on facebook. Blah, my 2 year old knows classical composers and identified a beethoven song! Blah, blah, We are now homeowners! Blah, my 18 month old can count to 10 in three languages! Do we really need to brag that much? I guess the happy posts are easier to read than the whiney ones, but I can only "TAKE" so much!!! :-/ And don't even get me started on the ones saying how wonderful and sweet their husbands are and how they do so much for them and get them lame flowers that they have to take a bunch of pictures of and post them too. We have all seen a flower before. Unless it's the best arrangement ever arranged, I don't care that much. I'm only talking about my highschool friends, and annoying relatives. If you're reading this, it doesn't apply to you :)

Sexy Sistahs!
I had so much fun at our reunion! It was just what I needed, I have missed you guys so much! I miss you all already. Since you all were there, and your pretty much the only people who read my blog ( I could probably tell more people to read it, but whatever) I wont waste time describing it or anything but I thought it would be funny to make fake profiles of us, but make them the complete opposite of what's true.
Cynda Min. Cynda is a cutting edge business woman. She has been called a workaholic, and can't deny that title. She is climbing the corporate ladder, and doesn't worry about her kids. That's what they pay day care workers for! She is also incredibly organized, never loses anything and can run on very little sleep.
Katelin Atkins. Katelin is a total city girl. She loves the big city and would hate to be anywhere else. She has a weakness for junk food. The Mcdonalds workers in her area know her by name!
Kristen Christenson. Kristen is a militant femenist. She doesn't believe in western society's grooming customs, such as cosmetic use or shaving. She doesn't like to show affection, and would never waste her time with cake decorating or anything like that. She thinks Ferris Beauler's Day off is the most offensive movie ever made.
Annalynne Thomas. One word to describe Annie; fiery. She has a major temper and is prone to huge meltdowns. Do not cross her! She gets upset very easily. She hates playing games and reading books, and only looks out for #1.
Jamie Jeppson. Jamie isn't someone you would call organized. She hates cleaning and any form of organization. She doesn't like to have a definite plan, but always wants to go with the flow. She doesn't like to hold a job for more than a couple of months. She's also very loud.
Shayla Wood. Shayla is very introverted. She doesn't like people, and is scared to talk to them. She works in the library stacking books when she's not researching ancient agricultural practices. She's very mellow to be around.
Krista Eger. When you think of the term "Molly Mormon" or "Holly Homemaker" you automatically think of Krista. She is very timid, and supports her staunch republican husband. She loves cleaning and cooking for her family of 9(one more on the way) She doesn't allow any entertainment in her house that isn't G rated. She also loves nice red meat. And hates home birth hippies.
Philip Eger. Philip is an accountant. Creativity is lost on him. He is a dedicated republican and is easily offended by profanity or vulgarity. He really REALLY loves country music.
Felicia Siggard. Felicia is the wild child of the bunch. She gets a kick out of breaking rules. by day she's Felicia Siggard the student, by night she's Cinnamon Hills, the entertainer! She uses her tip money for college. She's working on her degree on human sexuality.
Ha ha ha! Sorry if I offended anyone, I was laughing while I wrote it. What would our group be like if we really were like that?

Made a cake
I have been experimenting with cake decorating. I was asked to do a quincinera cake, which is a very big deal, and since it is in January, I agreed. I was so intimidated I wanted some practice, so I made a cake for my sister in law's lakers themed baby shower. (who plans a lakers baby shower... yup only my in laws...) and I was really encouraged by it. The fondant was so fun! My mother in law bought it, but I want to experiment making my own soon. So here's the pic, the only one I have is one my sister in law took with her phone, the picture is crooked, but I assure you the cake was not :)

On a negative note: the cake sucked. It was super dry and gross. Stupid Betty Crocker! I didn't really care, I just wanted it to look good, but if anyone has a good, dense but not dry chocolate (or any other flavors, really) cake recipe, feel free to share:) Let me know what you think. Ps if one of the basketballs has a fingerprint in it it's because my niece decided to try and snatch it. grr....

KJ's Two!
It's been 2 years (and one day) since I became a Mom! The time has flown by, but I also feel like I've had this little man with me forever. Even though he drives me crazy on a daily basis, I love him so much! He is so funny and friendly and curious and kind and loving and energetic. He is also the best dancer I have ever seen and an awesome big brother. I can't believe how much he has grown and how big he is getting! I can't even describe how much I love him and how strong the bond is between us. I thought having Koa would change our relationship, and it has, but I still love him just as much!
Here are some things I'd like to remember about my boy at this crazy age:
Favorites:
Food: Chicken nuggets and fruit snacks, and pretty much any other unhealthy thing there is. Ha ha
Toy: Any ball or car.
Movie: Cars, duh.
Book: any cars books, or touch and feel books
Color: I don't know. I'll say red cause it's the color of lightning mcqueen. He loves that show! He get's all excited when he see's anything from the movie, he says "Cah's!!! Whoa!!"
Animal: He LOVES animals! He is always smothering his uncle's dogs, but he was a big fan of the stupid cat that would come to visit us in Ivins. So I'll say cat or dog.
TV Show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! He loves him some Mickey!
Person: MOMMY!!! Just kidding, I think his little brother actually has me beat.
He hasn't been talking that much, at least not in english. He has a very interesting language that we call "Gong gong" because that was his favorite phrase for a while, I don't know what it meant. But he does have some words. Usually he just likes to say part of the word. Here are some of the words he says that I understand... I think.
Eez peaz: Please
Kwah: Koa, but this also might be cry, cause he said it to me when I cried the other day.
Cah: Car
Bah: Ball
Ee: Ear
Boo: Booger. I know this because he only says it when he picks his nose. or my nose. or Koa's nose.
Kee: Cookie. He thinks most foods are cookies.
Tay too- Thank you. He just started that one yesterday. I'm so excited!
He also says Baby, Mama(not often he calls me n'dah- Cynda), Dada, and Uh-oh. He says Uh oh so cute! He also nods his head in approval when he sees or eats something he likes. I love it cause he does it with the most serious expression. shakes his head "no" when he's in trouble, and clenches his jaw and shakes his face really hard when he's excited, sometimes he'll ball up his fists too when he does that. It's hilarious!
So yeah, that's my big boy. What a great 2 years with an awesome kid!

What a Mighty Good Man!
I had to post this while the good feelings are still here, I'm very easily annoyed, so chances are that I'll be ticked off at Kualii again soon, but I just want to say how awesome he is! He was so nice to me yesterday for my birthday. He's not mean to me any other day, but he made me feel so special and loved! He brought me flowers and a balloon and a card, and took me to my haircut, and took me to dinner. It really meant a lot to me since I have been feeling like crap about myself. I feel so much better today, and my hair feels so nice and short! Kualii is just a really good husband and daddy, and I know he loves me and my boys :0) I love him soooooooooo much!
Also, Kuokoa is exactly 2 months today! I can't believe it's been so long! He's such a cute, big boy! He is now 12 lbs 14 oz and 23 inches. He's doing really well, his belly button has a hernia, but the doctor says it's pretty normal and there's not anything to do for it. He's handled his immunizations like a champ, and had such a good night last night! He ate at like 11:30 then slept till 3:00, and I'm pretty sure he could have taken a binky and went back to sleep, but i fed him anyway and he slept till like 8:00 this morning! Holy cow! Kj, on the other hand was a nightmare. When it's Kualii's day off, if Kj wakes up at all in the night, Kualii will let him out of his room to watch tv untill he falls back to sleep, and Kualii will just sleep on the couch, so I think Kj knows when this will happen and takes advantage, what kid wouldn't? last night Kualii decided enough was enough, and made him stay in his room, which I wish he would have done from the start! But Kj threw the biggest fit. Kualii went in to try and calm him down a few times, and I even went in once, but he just had to cry it out. It felt like forever, but he finally went to sleep. I know he needs this boundary in his life. Bedtime is bedtime. He fell asleep for his nap at like 11:30 this morning so we'll see how the rest of the day goes.... Anyway, there's a lovely update on my manly men. I'm so glad I have them in my life!

Kuokoa Ronald Min
Cute and squishy and ready for bed!
Brother watching movies and holding baby

This one is the best one to descrive their relationship so far. AAAAHHH!

Me and my Koa boy

Happy family. This is why I went natural!

This one is the best one to descrive their relationship so far. AAAAHHH!
Me and my Koa boy
Happy family. This is why I went natural!
Woo hoo! I have internet again! I wanted to write down Koa's birth story while it's still pretty fresh in my mind. I haven't really written down K.J.'s so maybe later I can take a trip down memory lane and write his so we can compare, the experiences were vastly different from one another, but I got a precious baby boy out of both of them, so that's good:)
Ok, most of you know how shook up I was after having K.J. My lame epidural cord kinked and I felt horrible pain when I was dilated to an 8, so when we found out I was pregnant again I was really afraid of going through that again, so I decided to get educated. Most of my friends were really into natural childbirth, and through my friend Shauntae, I met Janet Barton, who is a midwife, doula and natural childbirth teacher. So I signed up for her class, and Annie did too. It was really cool to have such a close friend to go to class with and share opinions and compare notes on pregnancy and kids (our older boys are a month apart too). Before I get into the details, I need to give props to my coach! Kualii was so awesome, not only for the labor and delivery, but for the class too. I didn't even think he'd want to come to the classes with me, so I asked him to at least come for the first one, and he was hooked after that. The fact that he took it seriously made me feel so supported and safe. What a good coach!
Ok, so I was armed with knowledge, and I decided that I wanted the best of both natural and medical worlds, which is exactly what I got! I have a really great doctor- thanks Krista- who I really trust, so I wasn't going to totally disregard everything he said. He was very supportive of my plans, and had faith in me that I could do it. I went to my weekly checkup on the 25th, 2 weeks before my due date, I think I was almost to a 4 at this point and I had him sweep my membranes, not really expecting much. By the next morning I was feeling pretty uncomfortable, I wasn't sure if they were contractions yet, just discomfort, and I was awake before K.J. which is weird. K.J. is a night owl/morning person. Lucky me :0/ I really wanted to lay down and rest but I just couldn't any more, so I waited for K.J. to get up and then they started to feel more like contractions. They were irregular in time and intensity. But they didn't go away, so I called Kualii and he came home. I was happy we got to spend the day together because it was our anniversary. the contractions didn't change so we rested, I took a bath, or two:) we walked to the park with K.J. and I didn't have a lot of change so we decided to take a drive and pay our rent. We went to Kualii's mom's and she took K.J. so I could relax and focus. I layed down for a while, and took another bath. I loved getting in the bath, it felt so good. Then they stopped. I know they tell you not to get discouraged, but tell a hormonal woman who feels like a small alien has taken over her body that she might have just had a lovely day of contractions and not get a baby out of it that very day, she will get discouraged. So I cried for a while, and by 6:00 the contractions were back, but this time they were regular and intense! I showered and got everything ready and we left at 8:00. We went and said goodbye to my K.J. boy, my nieces were very concerned about me. Lehua even gave me a bandaid because I was really hurting by then. It felt really good to stand, sitting killed me. Kualii ate a real quick dinner, the neighbor came over and he and Kualii gave me a blessing, and we left. It was nice to drive past the temple where we got married on our anniversary to go extend our family, even though I was in lots of pain. By the way, Krista was my awesome texting doula, she really helped me! I texted her all day, even through transition. We got there at about 8:40, I got checked, I was dilated to a 7 they hurried and hooked me up to an IV, I didn't want one, but I was strep B positive, so I did it and I didn't really mind it, I didn't like having to stand right by the monitors, cause I had to pee a lot. they got me into my delivery room, and I still couldn't sit. at this point, I couldn't even sit to pee, I stood! they checked me and I was to a 9. They called Dr. Clark, who came from playing volley ball- ha ha! It was funny, he had to get scrub pants there and there were only the smallest size, he wasn't pleased about it, but it was funny, the nurses were teasing him, and I think you can tell how good a doctor is by his relationship with the nurses. He was a good sport and joked with them, it was such a good, Cynda-like atmosphere! I had to keep telling myself "I can do this, I can do this, I can do it!" It was funny to say it out loud, but it really helped me, my nurses were awesome, they told me I was awesome. I said I wanted my mom, which I knew I didn't need her, but I just had to say it for some reason. The nurse said she said it too when she went natural and she didn't even like her mom! I was ready to push. The one regret I have is that I had waited to feel that intense urge to push, so I guess technically I wasn't ready, but I was ready enough! Everyone was just yelling at me to push, so I pushed, so they would shut up! It hurt SOOOOOO bad! but it didn't last long, I just had to get the head out. I kept getting mad at everyone and yelling, "is it out YET?!" I finally got the head out and having the body out was the weirdest coolest feeling ever! I think that feeling after childbirth is what everyone who uses recreational drugs is trying to reproduce. It's an upper because it is so exciting and just empowering to do it, and it's a downer because I've never been more relieved and relaxed and chill. I kept saying, "it's a baby! I had a baby! It's our baby, he's here!" and then of course, "Wow, sorry guys, I sound psychotic" I think I was talking really loud too, I think everybody got a kick out of me at least:) I held him on me and just felt his amazing, sweet, peaceful little spirit. He was a champion nurser too. I just love him so much! He was born at 9:41 7lbs 8oz, my exact birthweight. I had them bathe him, cause he had so much hair, and everything gets stuck in it! I wish the dumb cna hadn't scrubbed him so much, I had to rub vaseline on him for the first 2 weeks so his soft skin wouldn't be so dry. My stay at the hospital was so nice, everyone took such good care of us! I only wish K.J. hadn't had to stay at the same house with my retarded brother in law (I'm really mad at him, cause I found out later he screamed at my boy!Ooooooooooooh! I want to punch his big fat head!)
It was such an awesome, zen, great birth experience. It's what I wish I had given myself when K.J. was born, but you live and learn, and I'm so in love with K.J. and that's what counts. He's so cute and funny and sweet. He's a great big brother, very involved! a little too involved sometimes... Anyway, I'm so glad I did it! What a great 2 months it's been!
We named him Kuokoa which means independance. I don't know if he'll be a very independant kid, probably, he is a 2nd child. But, It describes where we are in our lives right now. Independant of our parents (FINALLY) and independant of drugs! Sorry if this was so long, it feels so good to have it written down though!

Best Thing I've EVER Done!!!
Sorry I couldn't post updates, our internet crapped out :( But I finally have a success story! I've been avoiding letting K.J. cry it out at night, I finally decided that's what I needed to do, but postponed it forever. I thought it would be horrible, I thought he'd scream for hours, I thought it would rip my heart out, but it has gone so much more smoothly than expected! One night I had had enough and reached my limit with the whole thing, so the next day I moved his matress in his room and just didn't breast feed him, he got cranky and wanted a nap, but I wasn't going to feed him to get him to sleep! So he skipped his nap, then I did his night time routine in his room and left and let him scream. That was the hardest part for me, I bawled a little, but he fell asleep after 20 minutes. He woke up at one, we did the same thing, Kualii checked on him, made sure he was ok, then let him cry and fall asleep, then he woke up again at about 5:30 so I gave him his sippy cup, he was thirsty after all the screaming, and did the same thing, and he slept till 10:30! Last night was about the same, but he didn't have to cry himself back to sleep, as soon as he knew he was safe with Mom or Dad, he drifted off to sleep ok. He did wake up at 8 and was grumpy and tired still, so I put him back in there and he slept till noon!
He's tired and grumpy during the day, I think just from the change and getting use to sleeping somewhere else, but I'm so happy! I know we still have work to do, hopefully he'll learn to sleep without those little breaks, and I've heard that when you do this method they sometimes have a relapse or setback around night 4, but I'm feeling so optimistic! I know I can handle it. I should have done this sooner! But now, I'll know for next time :-)
He's tired and grumpy during the day, I think just from the change and getting use to sleeping somewhere else, but I'm so happy! I know we still have work to do, hopefully he'll learn to sleep without those little breaks, and I've heard that when you do this method they sometimes have a relapse or setback around night 4, but I'm feeling so optimistic! Update on KJ.
Well, I'm not too impressed about the progress K.J. is making on sleeping through the night/ weaning. I think a lot of that frustration is because of our trip to Lake Havasu. He was kind of a hand full the whole time, but he was in unfamiliar territory, plus he's not use to having to compete for toys or having his cousins try to steal mommy's attention. And it was a long hard trip! Anyway, I was so tired from travelling all night and K.J. would just not stop sucking. and I felt like not much was coming out and it was hurting so bad, but everytime I'd take him off, his eyes would open and he'd start to scream. I started to lose my temper, just cause I was so tired and it was too painful to sleep through, That's when I decided I'm going to try to just let him cry it out. I haven't always believed in it, and my instincts have gone completely against it, but I just feel like he deserves a fun mommy who doesn't lose her patience with him because I'm too tired. And I feel like I deserve a good nights rest. I know it's going to be really hard for me, but he needs to know that he can't get feedings from me at night any more! I know that our bond is secure enough that this wont traumatize him at least not for very long. I don't know anyone (except my Mom) who this hasn't worked for. And I'm willing to try anything at this point, I'm tired and hurting and it'll be better for everyone if he can just sleep through the night. I'm gonna give him a day or two to get used to being back home, then try it out. I'll keep you posted... wish me luck!

Well, I had my 1st doctor's appointment for the new baby. Everything seems ok, I've had some spotting so the doctor sent me for an ultrasound, and the baby was where it was suppose to be and had a heartbeat, so that was reassuring! I would post a picture, but the buttheads didn't give me one.
Dr. Clark advised me to stop breastfeeding K.J. Ugh. So much easier said than done! We co-sleep, so I feel like if I'm gonna stop breastfeeding, I need to kick him out of my bed! It's time, and I know a lot of people breast feed through pregnancy, but my boobs hurt SOOOO bad!!! I know it wont happen over night, so we're easing into it. I don't think I've cut back on breastfeeding yet, but I'm preparing. I took his crib apart and made him a little bed on the floor (he hated the crib) I took a few days and left everything the same, so I could get use to the change. It will be scary for me too. I'm so firmly attatched to him that it's gonna be tough. I figured out early on that I could not carry him from my room to his room or from the car seat to his room without him waking up, so after a meltdown, about feeling like I could never do this, and like I would have to breastfeed him forever, and have a family of four sleeping in one bed, I decided to keep things gradual. I need to be patient. I mean he's still teething, and he uses it for comfort. So, I dragged his little mattress into my room, right by my side of the bed. and last night, after his little routine I breastfed him till he fell asleep, and put him in his bed, and he slept there for 2 hours. I didn't put him back at all the rest of the night, I don't want to overwhelm us. and today he took his nap in his bed. I know It's not much, but I feel like it's progress.
This is probably real boring to anybody reading this, but I want to document our progress, so I have an outlet on good days and bad. I know as long as I follow my instincts, I'll be doing what's best for both of my babies!

Surprise!!!
Once upon a time: Kualii and I went to Gunnison to see our precious new nephew, Kurtis. Kualii had to come back to go to work, but I decided K.J. and I wanted to spend some more time with the family (especially the baby). I was up there for about a week, and Kualii and I aren't a good long distance couple, we miss eachother too much! So, he came and picked me up, and I was SO happy to see him!!! Anyway, a few weeks later, I woke up feeling dizzy and nauseous, and I said to myself, " No, I couldn't be pregnant, I didn't feel sick with K.J. until like the second month, people don't feel sick from the very beginning... right?" So, in the next few weeks I lost my appetite, kept getting dizzy and nauseous, and getting heartburn. I was so paranoid by the first of this month that I got 2 early pregnancy tests, and guess what? they both came back POSITIVE! I got so excited I almost hyperventelated.
I know I didn't want another one so soon, but, it is what it is! And honestly, I have had the best time with K.J. why wouldn't I want to do it again? Heavenly Father has another special person for us, and I feel so blessed! Plus it'll be so good for K.J. will have a little playmate to grow up with! I know it'll be tough sometimes, but I know I'll get the help I need!
I'm about 5 and a half weeks, I'm due February 7th. I wasn't going to announce it so soon, but when we went back up for Kurtis's blessing, Kualii announced it to my parents ward in his testimony (At first I was mad, but now I think it's so cute how excited he is!), So I figure I might as well tell the world! Also, I feel like it might be another boy, I'd love a girl, but we'll see.
So, there you have it! A week apart from eachother + super fertility + forgetting protection = BUN IN THE OVEN!!!

Lovin' Life!
I just had an awesome visit with my sister, Andrea!!! It left me feeling way more positive and up beat than I have been feeling for a while. I feel more confident in my mothering skills. Reflecting on it, I'm doing a pretty good job with my boy, I mean I play with him and read to him and say prayers with him. I try to feed him good food, and I sing to him and tell him I love him, so just cause I have some weaknesses doesn't mean I'm not a good mommy! As long as I try my hardest, right? I've also been feeling really stupid because I'm not in school right now and sometimes didn't do so great when I was in school, but, just because I'm not continuing my education right now, doesn't mean I can't do it at some point! It's never too late! I'm thinking about going to the skin institute down here, it's expensive, but when I help people like that I feel really good about myself! Like, I gave my mom a pedicure and waxed her eyebrows when I was up there, and I loved doing it!
I love feeling hopeful. Besides being inspired by eachother we had a way fun time this weekend! We laughed so much, and I felt like my old self! We watched New Moon and mostly made fun of it- we gave the characters weird voices and made up our own dialogue (Bella was a valley girl, Edward was a creepy old british man, and Jacob was a surfer) it was really late at night, so it seemed really REALLY funny to us! Good times! We also got some really funny pics (mostly on her camera- boo!) One of them is of K.J. looking like he was doing the sprinkler dance, it's hilarious!
So, in conclusion I'm really happy right now! Hooray!
Side note: I love Krista and Phil!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so freakin happy for you guys!

Kurtis!

I'm so excited today, because I'm an aunty again! I'm happy K.J. will have a little boy cousin so close to his age to play with, a little over a year apart! I think K.J. knew what was going on the whole time last night, because he was up like EVERY hour (he's probably cutting more teeth) I like to believe that he remembers Kurtis very well, and his spirit knew he was coming! Maybe that's bull crap, I don't know, but with babies, I don't think heaven is ever far, I think the veil is thin for them. This morning when I showed K.J. pictures of the baby, he didn't seem to show any signs of recognizing him or anything, I tried to teach him to say "baby" all he said was "doh!" I'm very excited for him to meet his cousin in real life! I am also very proud of my sister in law, Kadie, I know she did a great job, labor is very hard and scary! And word to my brother! He did not throw up or pass out, or do like we predicted and throw up, then pass out and choke, then wake up and have a seizure and choke some more. Good Job, Zack and Kadie, and Welcome, Baby Kurtis!

Episode VI, Return of the Cynda!
I haven't blogged in over a year, but, lately I have been feeling the need for more creativity in my life. I just want to write or make or create something beautiful or funny or awesome. I have already created something beautiful and funny and awesome, and he is currently playing with his Lightening Mcqueen (sp?) push toy. He just tried to climb up on it, then get on the coffee table, I told him he was going to get hurt, his reply was, "gun gaw." I love his little language, it's like he knows what he's talking about, but I don't. Gun gaw probably meant, "Get off my back, Mom!"
I just love him so much! I can't believe he's grown and changed, and he keeps changing every single day. I'm so glad I decided to have him. I can't get enough of him! I don't think I expected to be so overwhelmed with love. It's like a psychotic, all consuming love! I probably sound crazy, but that's how it is. Sometimes I sing to him at night, and I wish there was a song that was good enough for him. Like that described how awesome he is or how much I love him. Maybe Phil will help me compose one =)
I'm not saying I'm a perfectly happy, peaceful mother, I probably should be but, it's not in my nature. Sometimes I want to pull my hair out, but, I think every mom does! I'm doing pretty good now, he's destroying a word puzzle book and spreading the pages, but I'm not freaking out! I'm so nice! Ha ha, I'll clean it up later. Ok, that's all for now. I'll probably post some pictures of our year with K.J, and I'll try to post more entertaining posts.

Kaena Makananani!
To those of you who have already heard this story, I'm sorry. Well, not really, because it's a good story, and I am a great teller. Ok, here we go!
I was having a normal Wednesday. I was folding baby clothes and emailing my luscious friend Krista, when I heard the dogs bark, so I figured someone was here, and it was our neighbor, Carol. I saw my sister in law going to answer the door and I could tell that she was in pain, so I asked what was going on, and she told me that she'd been having a few contractions and she had some bloody discharge and that Carol was driving her to the doctors to get checked. She didn't know if it was a big deal since her contractions were so irregular. I felt bad for not checking on her all day, it was about 3:00. So we went to the doctor, and Aloha, my mother in law met us there and they took Lei back to moniter her contractions and such. a few minutes later, they called Aloha back (P.S. Lei's husband John was in Lake Havasue, Arizona picking up his parents, that's why he's not in this story) what seemed like seconds later, Aloha called me on my cell phone to tell me Lei was dilated to an 8 and we needed to get to the hospital next door. So we went, and by this time Lei was contracting heavily and in a lot of pain, she was just crying and sweating and all of that. So we went to the hospital, and I got the wheelchair, and I saw my old room mate, Katelyn. She was in the waiting room, she is pregnant too(well maybe not anymore) and she tells me she's 2 weeks overdue, and asks my due date etc... I had to wheel Lei in or I would have talked to her more, I really wanted to too, but I had to get Lei in there. If anyone knows any info on her let me know! I never found out what happened with her.
So we get into the room, and Lei is progressing WAY fast! And between contractions they are having her sign the forms and hooking up her IV, she wanted an epidural, but there was no time! Also, at the same time down the hall two other women were having babies right then. So nurses and cna's were running out of the room, they are having me hold Lei's knees. I held them til I thought my arms would fall off and I would surely die. In the nick of time Lei got a priesthood blessing from some guys in our ward, It was really a miracle that they made it because right after they left, me and a nurse held onto legs and she pushed twice, and there was a baby! It was so crazy, the doctor didn't have much time, but he was able to change and everything worked out.
She was born at 16:16 (4:16) in the afternoon. She weighs 7 lbs 1oz and is 19 inches long. Her name is Kaena Makananani (Kah-enna Muh-kaw-nuh-naw-nee) Kaena was Aloha's grandma's first name and Makananani is Grandma Min's middle name. I'm not sure what they mean yet.
So I got some hands on training in child birth, was horrified, then enlightened. I can't wait for my little K.J. comes! I love to hold Kaena, and am ready to meet my own! I would also like to add that carol was awesome, she was there for us the whole time, she's such a good neighbor! Ok, that's all I've got. I will put pictures up as soon as I can!

Needing hugs
So, today I found out that one of the kids in Zack (my brother)'s class was killed in a car accident. I didn't really know the kid, but Zack is really upset. He called me crying and just wanted to tell me how much he loves me. I hate when he is sad. I always have. He has basically been my best friend since he was born, we were always very protective of eachother. We kind of drifted apart like a lot of siblings do when we were teenagers and I was dating retards and he was being popular. I always regretted not staying closer to him during those years, maybe some of our mistakes could have been avoided, but whatever. Then after he graduated he started dating this really dumb girl with lots of baggage. It was one of those relationships where they kind of brought out the worst in eachother, well, not kind of, they really did. I didn't like how she treated him. We could all see it needed to end, but he felt like he had to stay with her because he was the only one she had (and oh, how she played that up! What a frickin martyr. I can't believe he dated mini grandma mickey). And then one day, he finally woke up, and dumped her! It was awesome, it was hard on him, but he knew it was the right thing to do. Then he realized he wanted to move on with his life and leave Gunnison, so he moved to cedar, He still has some things to do before he can start school, and he's looking for a job, but I have been so proud of him. He comes to see me a lot. I got to make him a birthday dinner, he turned 20 on tuesday. Anyway, it just feels like I have my Zack back. I know he'll be ok, I feel like he's growing up so much. He just really means alot to me, and I hope that he knows "the plan" and if he doesn't, maybe this will help him figure it out.
